NATUROPATHY - WHAT TREATMENT INVOLVES
Naturopathic treatment can include any treatment mode which is being used to support the patient's natural healing processes. Treatment modes include dietary and nutritional advice, stress management and relaxation techniques, exercises, hypnosis, hydrotherapy, fresh air, sunlight. The psychology of the patient is important and taken into account. Used very occasionally, due to the specialisation required, are herbal and homeopathic remedies.
On your first visit, your medical case history will be taken before any treatment begins. You are then examined. Your body's biomechanics, (structure, posture and physical movements), may be reviewed. Standard medical examinations such as blood pressure, lung sounds and ear examination/inspection may, where relevant, also be performed. If necessary, further investigations such as X-rays, blood or urine analyses, or diet diaries are arranged. Treatments commence only after diagnosis. Your diagnosis and treatments are reviewed and noted on each subsequent visit.
